Three-Rail Innovations' Two-Relay Controller
operates AC or DC powered trackside accessories, controls
train power, operates track switches, and makes running your trains more
interesting and safer.
The Two-Relay Controller:
- Has two isolated outside-rail inputs and two double-pole relays.
- Provides prototypic operating modes for any trackside accessory.
- Has specific features for train control and track switch
operation.
- Is activated by any engine or rolling stock, even when track power is
off.
- Provides precise activations by the length of a track block.
- Can employ short isolated track blocks to minimize insulating outside
rails.
- Can activate a feature when a train is between track blocks.
- Can activate a feature by train direction.
- Allows an isolated track block to operate multiple accessories.
- Allows relay activation by combinations of track blocks.
- Isolates accessory power from the track so derailments don't cause
problems and your train transformers can be fully utilized.

The 2RC has two inputs and two double-throw relays. Each relay can,
optionally, turn one accessory off and another on.
More than one
accessory can be activated by each output. For example, two flashing
crossbucks placed on either side of the track at a highway crossing are
wired in parallel and are counted as one accessory. Or, a whole string of
street lights are wired together and are activated by the same Controller
output.

any other trackside accessory operating technique, and what is needed to
use it.
The Two-Relay Controller comes with a complete instruction
manual. It shows how to fully utilize the 2RC to add trackside accessory
action to your layout. Even if your wiring experience is limited, it will
show you how to construct track blocks and use them to operate block
signals, flashing crossbucks, and any other trackside accessory.
