Lights flash if a train is in a conflicting track block.
The track block after the signal is connected to Input-1 .
A track block which, if a train is in the block, would conflict with a train
in the Input-1 block, is connected to Input-2 .
The Input-2 track block can be a crossing
track, or a block on the opposite side of a track switch.
With no train in either block, the Green light is ON
and the Red light is OFF.
A train moving into the Input-1 track block:
If no train is in the Input-2 track block: Relay-1 and the
Green light are turned OFF.
Relay-2 and the Red light are turned ON.
If a train is in the Input-2 track block:
Both relays and lights flash.
When the train leaves the Input-1 track block, both lights are OFF.
The flashing lights are intended to warn the train engineer
that the train should be stopped.
