| Two-Relay Controller, Operating Manual | NEXT |
The Two-Relay Controller comes with a complete instruction manual. It shows how to fully utilize the 2RC to add trackside accessory action to your layout, control trains, make running your trains safer, and operating track switches. Even if your wiring experience is limited, it will show you how to construct track blocks and use them to control the 2RC.
The 2RC Operator Manual starts with simple explanations of the Controller and progresses to advanced concepts and capabilities:
The 2RC manual includes separate drawings showing track, connections, and jumpering for selected features:
| Crossover Safety | Track Switch Safety | ||
| Highway Crossing | Railway Signaling (3) | ||
| Track Switch Inhibit | Track Switch Non-Derailing | ||
| Power Passing | Train Stop and Wait | ||
| Operating Stall-Motor Switches |
"Quick Start Demonstration" is a good way to get started and gain confidence with connecting the 2RC.
"Board Power" shows different way to supply Controller power.
"Outside Rail Inputs" can be connected to an isolated outside track rail via a separate transformer (with one transformer terminal connected to track common), to an isolated outside track rail and the track center rail, to track common and track center rail, and to a power source via electrical switches, push buttons, and/or relay contacts.

"Combining" Track Blocks for Controller Inputs
"Input Modes" offer mechanisms for compensating for wheel bounce, operating with short isolated outside-rail track sections, to avoiding isolating track outside-rails over long track blocks, and for operating relays only when a train is moving in one direction.

The 2RC can be operated with twenty different "Operational Features" ranging from simple relay OFF/ON, timing functions, flashing, to more complicated block signal and train/power control functions. The features are arranged into eight "feature sets" configured by installing jumpers.
