The Two Line Crossover layout idea has two independent reverse track runs that intersect with a track crossover. Trains move independently, reversing at each end, and stopping when the other train is over the crossover.

One EUC in Two E-Unit Cyclers mode controls the Reverse tracks of each track run. An EUC in Station Stop Arbitration mode is used for each leg of the crossover. The track crossover has, or is modified to, separate center-rails, allowing independent powering for each leg.
