K 'n G Railplex -- Train Show Pictures CLOSE

The K 'n G Railplex is operated at Rocky Mountain Division, Train Collectors Association, shows. RMD/TCA train shows have times that are open to the public. Check out their web site at RMD/TCA for show schedules and locations.

The pictures referenced on this page show the development of the The K 'n G Railplex layout starting with its first showing.

The layout was a little bare for its first showing. But, it went up well and was a big hit. No visitor had ever seen an automatic train layout before.

For the second showing we added a curtain, the "work" track loop, trackside accessories, and a few lighted metal buildings.

Over the next few shows we added some stylized scenery decorations and lots of trackside accessories.

The 2006 winter show saw the addition of a back-and-forth trolley line weaving among well detailed buildings. Hotbox, the trolley chasing dog, comes out of his house to look for the trolley, then chases it.
