| Lionel 71 Boulevard Lamp | BACK |
The Lionel 71 Boulevard Lamp provides lighting for streets.
The Lionel 71 Boulevard lamp was produced in 1949 and 1950. Reproductions are available.
It is 6" high, making it a 1:48 scale model of a 24' high lamp post.
The base and post are die-cast metal painted gray. Globe is translucent plastic, with small vent holes in the top.
A mini-bayonet bulb (L53) is used. (Click for bulb specifications).
One wire connects to the light bulb. Another connects to the post. Operating at less than 12 volts can reduce melting the globe. On some examples, the bulb installs by turning counter-clockwise.
The Two Lighting Relays controller can operate two strings of thirty 71 Boulevard Lamps in a day/ night cycle.
